Terms & Conditions
1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the Logline Studio website and to the purchase and use of software products developed by Logline Studio, including Logline Desk and Logline Portfolio.
By purchasing or using any Logline Studio product, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Software products
Logline Studio develops local-first desktop software.
The software is provided as a downloadable application and runs locally on the user’s device. No cloud services or user accounts are required unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3. Licensing
Upon purchase, the user is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software for personal or professional purposes.
The license:
- is limited to use by the purchaser
- may not be sublicensed, resold, or distributed
- does not transfer ownership of the software
Reverse engineering, modification, or redistribution of the software is prohibited unless explicitly permitted by law.
4. Payment and delivery
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record.
After successful purchase, access to the software download and license information is provided via Lemon Squeezy.
Logline Studio does not process or store payment data.
5. Pricing and taxes
All prices are displayed during checkout and may include applicable taxes depending on the customer’s location and tax status.
VAT handling is performed by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with applicable laws.
6. Updates and availability
Logline Studio may provide updates, bug fixes, or improvements at its discretion.
There is no obligation to provide updates, upgrades, or new features for any specific duration unless explicitly stated at the time of purchase.
Logline Studio reserves the right to modify or discontinue products, provided that existing licenses remain usable.
7. User responsibility and data
All data processed by Logline Studio software is stored locally on the user’s device.
The user is solely responsible for:
- backing up their data
- ensuring data integrity
- complying with applicable laws when using the software
Logline Studio is not responsible for data loss caused by hardware failure, user error, or third-party software.
8. Limitation of liability
The software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Logline Studio shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages
- loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- damages resulting from improper use of the software
Liability for intent and gross negligence remains unaffected.
9. Support
Support may be provided on a best-effort basis via email.
There is no guaranteed response time or obligation to provide ongoing support unless explicitly stated.
10. Refunds
Refunds are handled in accordance with Lemon Squeezy’s refund policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
Digital products may be excluded from refunds once access has been granted, unless required otherwise by law.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
If legally permissible, the place of jurisdiction shall be the registered location of Logline Studio.
12. Changes to these Terms
Logline Studio reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions to reflect legal or product changes.
The current version will always be available on the Logline Studio website.
